Launched by France’s President Emmanuel Macron, the Make Our Planet Great Again initiative has met with worldwide enthusiasm, generating expressions of interest from a large number of highly qualified students and researchers.

France’s ministries of Europe and foreign affairs (MEAE) and of higher education, research, and innovation (MESRI) in collaboration with Campus France have implemented a program of support for foreign postdoctoral researchers wishing to conduct further research in France on a topic related to earth systems, climate change and sustainability, the energy transition, or societal challenges of environmental issues.

Attention to the eligible criteria, in particular nationality OR card of residence : Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chili, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hong-Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States. French nationals are not eligible and the candidates must not have been living in France since September 2019.

And regarding the PhD criteria, it has to be defended between July 2015 and at the latest before November 15th 2020.

Short reminder : the contract has to start in January 2021 and the 50 000 euros for 12 months will beentirely dedicated to the salary of the post-doc.
